The detail

Signature Phono Nuvistor is NAT’s fully balanced valve phono stage, operating from the moving-coil input through to its output. Its ten military-grade Nuvistor triodes work without global feedback, while NAT’s vacuum-based inverse RIAA network replaces the conventional resistor-capacitor equalisation approach.

Premium nanocrystalline input, inter-stage and output magnetics support selectable MC loading and both balanced and single-ended operation. A separate conditioned supply provides more than 320 joules of stored energy, with soft-start control and regulated operation for the low-noise gain stages.

The signal path uses closely specified components, silver/OFC input wiring and gold-plated PTFE-insulated connectors. Each unit is hand assembled, adjusted and subjected to an extended factory burn-in.
