The detail

Magneto Evo is a 100-watt pure-Class-A hybrid monoblock built around NAT’s NuFET concept: one scientific-grade gold-plated power FET directly coupled to a Nuvistor triode. The design uses a single amplification stage with no coupling transformer, capacitor, choke or resistor in the direct signal path.

The Nuvistor acts as a linearising element for the output device rather than as a conventional input or driver stage. A regulated constant-current supply, more than 100,000 µF of reservoir capacitance and custom inductors support stable operation without an active DC-servo circuit.

Separate 4- and 8-ohm outputs, switchable high-frequency behaviour and the high-current NuFET stage are intended to accommodate loudspeaker loads from roughly 1 to above 32 ohms. Each monoblock is hand assembled without a signal-path printed circuit board.
