The TITAN D.A.R.C. 888 is Acoustical Systems' double-action record reflex clamp. Its compound construction brings together Timet 1100 titanium, Panzerholz, HD18 tungsten, stainless steel, selected wood and vinyl to couple the record to the platter while controlling unwanted mechanical energy.
THREE APPLICATIONS
The D.A.R.C. 888 is available with a threaded pin for A*STELLAR and Brinkmann turntables, with a beryllium-copper reflex sponge as a clamp-on version for compatible turntables, or as a universal record weight. The threaded and clamp-on versions weigh 550 g; the record-weight version weighs 780 g.
MATERIAL AND FINISH
The upper wood section is offered in Dark Smoked German Oak or African Amazakoue. The standard metal finish is titanium; a titanium version with polished gold on steel is also available.
